Contras include drowsiness, decreased mental sharpness, slurred speech, clumsiness, less occupational efficiency, sexual side effects, low moods, irritability, agitation and increased susceptibility to the effects of alcohol. Valium is the best known in the UK with Klonopin, Serax and Alprazolam better know in the US.</p>
<p>Monamine oxidase inhibitors.<br />are the oldest of antidepressant medications. The most often used is  phenelzine. They are almost never used these days due to there interaction with common foods such as cheese and other drugs such as SSRIs. These inter reactions have known to be fatal.</p>
<p>Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)<br />Citalopram, Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine, Paroxetine, and Sertraline, are among the SSRIs most used as Panic and Anxiety Attack Medication. These Panic and Anxiety Attack Medications act on one of the brain&#8217;s chemical messengers called serotonin. Starting on a low dose and increasing untill they are effective SSRIs have far fewer Contras than older Panic and Anxiety Attack Medications.</p>
<p>Tricyclic antidepressants</p>
<p>Similar to SSRIs Tricyclics are started at low doses and gradually increased. Not as much use as in the past due to the Contras which include Dizziness, Drowsiness, Dry mouth, Weight gain and sleepiness.</p>
<p>All Panic and Anxiety Attack Medication can cause unfortunate side effects, some can even endanger your life. Talk at length with your doctor and get him to explain the ins and outs of the treatment he is reccomending. Most importantly of all</p>

<p>Having a trusted friend or family member to help you through these difficult times is always a boon. Should you find that too difficult, you always have the choice of confiding in your doctor or even a therapist. Remember that these professionals are non-judgmental and their only goal is to help you. And if none of these options appeal to you, you can always go it alone, although you’ll find this course to be generally the more difficult one.</p>
<p>If you’re going to go your lonesome way on the path to overcoming panic attacks there can be a number of options available to you. For each of these options I would however suggest that you get at least some rudimentary help from a qualified medical expert or practitioner. </p>
<p>Trying any of these methods unsupervised can be very dangerous and can even lead to greater problems than overcoming panic attacks alone. So remember to be safe if you’re starting a new treatment method – get proper medical supervision.</p>
<p>There is no shame on leaning on people when you need them most so don’t let that or pride hold you back if you’re overcoming panic attacks on your own steam. If you do find that you’re able to ask for help then go for it. The same options are available for you to try and the same conditions should apply to you as well. <p>A fear of public places, especially those where there is a large gathering of people such as a grocery store can develop from a social anxiety. An individual who suffers from general panic disorders can become embarrassed of their disorder which can then cause a fear of traveling and suffering a panic attack in public. This shows that with an agoraphobia panic attack it is difficult to identify and deal with it.</p>
